If we are looking at this world now, all options can be the right answer. Nowadays the internet offers some compelling opportunities to anyone who knows how to create and distribute this kind of sensible content. But I choose number 4. Since Assange and Snowden, the world discovers this kind of leaks from some „so-called” independent journalists or freedom fighters. Blogging is more trendy than usual journalism and governments, secret services used very well this kind of communication with people. Nothing is independent in this fight of propaganda. Of course, some journalists believe they can have fantastic news about this, especially inexperienced ones, 99% of them never become published. Even they try to post in a blog and try to promote, an army of trolls can destroy them. Useful idiots, for money, can be used by governments or secret services to spread some pieces of information. Since the Millenials are dominating the internet now, media experts, from big news outlets are used to have a strategic communication by governments and secret services. Some pieces of information are very sensible. Authorities need this kind of people to spreads them, to avoid any diplomatic or an economic incident possibly caused by them.

I think that Bellingcat or Blackstone Intel are so successful because citizen journalists and bloggers are more impartial and credible than maintream journalists or government officials. Modern ordinary people do not trust television and official news and therefore have the last hope of getting the right information from "true" bloggers. Sometimes the good intentions of bloggers are used by the professional propaganda of governments and the more popular it becomes the blogger and has more subscribers, the more diverse its propaganda is of interest to its activities. One event from different positions can be perceived differently and for each participant there will be a truth which sometimes can contradict each other, therefore professional propaganda can submit information in the necessary format. That is why, over time, popular bloggers can become useful idiots ready to disseminate dubious or fake reports leaked by intelligence services. However, for the current war in Ukraine, such independent and uninterested foreign investigations are a necessary source of information for Ukrainians and for the whole world. Conclusion: propaganda is in all popular sources of information, that is why it is necessary to carefully "filter" information for making adequate decisions.

I am strongly convinced that Bellingcat or Blackstone Intel are so successful because they do own investigation from open sources and even do it better than mainstream journalists or intelligence services. It amazing how complicated is what they do and what is the result. This research network use different, even contrary sources and compare them, making conclusions. I realize how weak and unprotected might be state, government and people, if country don`t care about security system and leakage of information. Their greatest achievement is investigation about conflict in Syria, Ukraine and poisoning of former russian spy Skripal and his daughter.People who works for those organizations are eager to lift the curtain on truth, and deploy objective information.

The Blackstone Group has a stellar track record. The firm now manages more than $300 billion in total assets, while CEO and cofounder Stephen Schwarzman has a net worth of more than $11 billion. It's not financial engineering or dealmaking wunderkinds that have Blackstone's returns outpacing most of the firm's competitors, according to Schwarzman. Rather, it's a straightforward approach to deals.

Our century is full of surprises. And now, people stop trusting the official governments' statements, but rather stick to blogs and researches of totally independent journalists and bloggers. The question given is why Bellingcat or Blackstone Intel are so successful. I consider it is because they make a deep research and find the available for everybody data, put it all together and come out with a distinct conclusion on the matter. They are successful thanks to information leakage, proficient applying of received data. These consolidations investigate the world's most urgent and loud issues, including crisis in Ukraine, war in Syria, murders and political figures. At the same time, their deeds show how insecure we can be in the modern society, as so much can be known by looking at our pictures, videos and social media profiles. Thus, such organizations as Bellingcat or Blackstone Intel provide us with justified facts and data that can be checked out at any time, so we are ought to give them a huge credit for that.

Definitely, the Internet era has totally reconstructed the notion of journalism and media. The power of social media influencers is unprecedently growing and is a subject of analysis for different areas of studies. In my humble opinion, the informational wars nowadays have got new dimensions, therefore it makes states and other involved parties eager about getting the most efficient weapon. I cannot declare their exact connection to any of the governments or other interested parties, but throughout history, we can see how leaders of thoughts are involved in svaying public's opinion. They have power and it would be ridiculous to ignore its efficiency for the governments or other sides. Stimulated by the idea of power, stakeholders are seeking such alternatives ways in the construction of a beneficial environment. Personally, I envision it as a powerful weapon in hands of somebody who found a great approach to public and accessed needed audiences.

In our time, the time of propaganda, we quite often deal with the distortion of information, delusions, concealment of facts, or even fake news. A significant percentage of information about resonant events, in our case, about the confrontation in Ukraine - is not true. The main reason for this is the use of it for the purpose of state propaganda: so, news messages are used not to inform people, but to impose a thought that is favourable to one or another government. All these facts led to the emergence of new independent social media, young journalists who want to tell the truth, as well as investigative research networks such as Bellingcat and Blackstone Intel. These groups use the OSINT method: analysis of information from open sources such as videos, maps and photographs. Despite the fact that the Russian Federation criticizes and discriminates against all Bellingcat's reports, the website remains to be more and more popular. The question is why, but I have already the answer suitable for myself: "Because co-operative open-source investigations can outperform those by mainstream journalists or intelligence services".
